We have pleasure in announcing that Fat Brestovca is back again this year as our fantastic main stage host. Here’s a short Q&A session so you can get to know him better before the big day!
Hey, what’s your name?
Fat Brestovca. Just another typical Scottish name, really…
What are you all about?
Hey! I’m a young presenter based in Glasgow and I’m back once again to host the Gibson Street Gala this summer.
What have you been up to?
Since last years Gala I’ve hosted the talent contest, G-Stars, at the O2 Academy and the FRESH FACED festival at the Glasgow Tramway.
I’ve also just started hosting my own radio show on the fantastic Pulse 98.4FM. It’s a great station, run by wonderful people and I’m chuffed to be involved with them. Tune in, by the way, Fridays at 7pm. Ha ha!
So tell us, what it’s like in front of an audience?
Ooh! It’s actually quite hard to describe. What I love about presenting is that I get to really interact with the audience. I feel very responsible for to whether people are enjoying themselfes or not, but when you’re on stage, and you see everyone having a good time, there really is nothing better.
What I love just as much is chatting with the audience in between acts, and getting to know them. I’ve had hilarious conversation with the most amazing people. It’s totally the best job in the world!
What are your plans and hopes for the Gala?
For everyone to come together and have a party outside in the sun! Loads of fantastic acts have been booked, so the tunes are sorted! Bring a friend, grab a burger, have a good time! See you all on the 2nd of June. Can’t wait!
Tell us a little more about yourself, Fat
I love Feta Cheese and Raspberry Jam sandwiches. Is that wrong???
Can we see more about you somewhere?
Yep! Head over to my Facebook Page and my twitter @fatpresenter
